After obtaining the international 'Bioscore' certificate that accredits our commitment to sustainability, at Villa Venecia Hotel Boutique Gourmet, a five-star hotel located in the centre of Benidorm, we continue to work to be a benchmark among luxury hotels committed to the environment. Increasingly, our visitors value issues such as the impact a hotel has on the planet when choosing a room in which to spend their holidays. Reducing the environmental footprint has therefore become a trend to be taken into account in all accommodation on the Costa Blanca.

In our aim to offer more sustainable exclusive stays, our accommodation pays attention to issues such as emissions, catering, waste, energy and water, even before visitors arrive (with actions such as encouraging online check-in through an APP to save paper).

In addition, in all rooms and rooms of Villa Venecia the signage has been completely renewed (using as far as possible ecological paper with sustainability certification) to inform and advise guests on issues such as the responsible use of elements such as air conditioning or to avoid wasting water.

Some of the most outstanding sustainable actions already implemented in our accommodation have been: The commitment to natural light and LED lighting, the elimination of most single-use plastics, greater control over the cleaning of towels and sheets to avoid the use of water and chemicals, the commitment to local food in the restaurant or various agreements with companies such as Ecoembes to promote recycling. Recently, the plastics that protected the food and welcome gifts offered as a courtesy have also been eliminated, replacing them with polycarbonate hoods.

One of the latest measures taken has been the purchase of a 204 hp ECO-FRIENDY electric van to reduce CO2 emissions for staff and guest travel; an environmentally friendly alternative for daily commuting.

Recently, the accommodation has also incorporated technology to offer free digital newspapers throughout the hotel. With this tool, thousands of publications in different languages are available to all guests on their devices without the need for paper.

Along with these measures, we continue to work on issues such as the implementation of chargers for electric vehicles, the installation of solar panels or the future use of compostable coffee capsules. Villa Venecia Hotel Boutique does not forget about its suppliers either, focusing on local products, food and wine and local artists (we are working to ensure that the hotel hosts different exhibitions and cultural events).
